Reflections on the Scotland Retreat

Reflections on the Scotland Retreat
If you know me, you know I’m pretty dry and sarcastic.
Abbey and Elise are their own special, unique blend of dry and sarcastic as well. Which might explain why we enjoy each other’s company so much and laugh all.the.time.
Several years ago, I started saying things like “what a dumb place,” “terrible view”, or just simply staring out the window saying “stupid” whenever we explored yet another place that was just so beautiful, it almost didn’t seem real.
I did this a lot at the beginning of the Scotland retreat and damn did every single guest take it up several notches.
It might have been my favorite part of the week. Sort of sharing this inside joke together and laughing until our sides hurt.
Although water boarding Luda in the back of the van might actually take the cake!
I spend a lot of time trying to find really beautiful places to retreat in.
And I’ve been trying to find the perfect blend of down time and adventure and wellness and togetherness and alone time and car time for the itineraries ever since I started, but the people are what make the retreat.

We had 4 new guests and 5 repeat guests.
We had 3 babes that met in Olympic vacation together for a bit pre-retreat.
We had 2 sets of friends.
We had 3 solo travelers.
They came from Washington, Chicago, Wisconsin, and Michigan.
Their ages ranged from 30-47. Which is actually abnormal for us. Normally it’s 30-70.
They had a wide range of roles and responsibilities.
They were all terribly funny and got along splendidly.
We’re already planning on a reunion at Erin’s. Although, I might sneak out there sooner for an emerald green tub purchase ;)
So friend, if you were a part of this amazing retreat in Scotland, THANK YOU for coming and making it so, so special.
And, if you weren’t a part of this retreat, you still have time to be a part of one coming up.
Sharing space with incredible women really fills my cup. It makes you forget that the view is terrible ;)
Join us - unless you hate laughing and making new friends ;)
