What is the best that could happen?

Soft days

Last week, I talked about not getting swept up in the pressure to create a million resolutions just because the year’s ending.

And yet… I’ve still found myself in multiple conversations with people who are itching to take big risks or make big changes in the new year.

Totally fine, I can daydream with the best of them ;)

So if you’re in that same camp—wanting something different but already doom-spiraling about everything that might go wrong—try pausing and asking yourself a better question:

“What is the best that could happen?”

Change is hard. And yes, usually a little terrifying.

But it can also be exciting as hell if you let it.

What’s more thrilling than actually prioritizing your hopes and dreams? How good does it feel to put yourself first for once? And honestly… how much possibility opens up at the start of something new?

The wild part is that we usually don’t notice or celebrate any of this until we’re looking back with hindsight.

Feels like a missed opportunity, if you ask me.

So, friend—next time your brain starts asking, “How bad could this be?” Try flipping it.

Ask yourself, “How great could this turn out?”
