As seen in Woman's World Magazine: 7 years later - still winging it

7 years later - still winging it

Seven years ago, I was clinging to a very safe version of life.

Think: routine, predictability, and a super rigid schedule that I kinda, mostly hated.

Fast-forward to yesterday and somehow Woman’s World decided to share my story.

Yes—that magazine.

The one sitting next to the Twix bars (my fave), where life-changing soup diets live. Damn, I love soup.

This piece is about ripple effects and how small steps can create big change.

How a period of my life that I was wildly unhappy about (at the time) ended up creating Wandering Roots—an approachable brand that now regularly packs bags, crosses oceans, and occasionally makes me wonder: “Who let me be in charge of this?”

And honestly? I could never have pictured this back then.

International retreats?
Meeting so many badass babes?
Me, featured in print?

It all still feels a little surreal.

And, in full transparency - the article makes me equal parts giddy and nauseous.

Giddy because sometimes entrepreneurship feels like you're screaming into a void, hoping someone will not only buy—but actually appreciate your work..

And, nauseous because imposter syndrome is alive and well over here and what if people read this and see me? Gah. Gross. Send gin.

But if I can tune out my mind for a minute - I'm really fricken grateful for all of you.

Thank you for believing in me when I didn't believe in myself.
Thank you for opening these emails.
Thank you for joining us on a retreat -
especially in the early years when we were still very much figuring it out.

Thank you for being here. Truly.

That is what turned a fragile idea into something that keeps breathing.

If you want to read the article (and catch me being semi-serious for once), here you go.

And while we’re on the topic of stepping out of comfort zones—because clearly, mine has been doing cartwheels lately—I also got to chat with Moni, an incredible coach who lives where we’re retreating in the Dolomites.

We talked about exactly that: fear, leaps, and how to do it anyway.

She even has a simple 5-day reset challenge that’s worth a peek if your brain’s been feeling like a snow globe lately.
